Quebec revises Immigration Target to 70,500 Immigrants In 2022

Quebec revised it target for number of Immigrants to be invited in 2022. It added 18,000 new applicants which are to be invited additionally to the previous announced figure of 52,500 immigrants for the year 2022, taking the total count to 70,500 for year 2022.

The above number i.e. 18,000 new immigrants were added in the previous  in lieu of Covid-19 pandemic, as the province feels that it may not be able to meet the immigration target for the year 2021.

That is the reason why the above target has been revised for year 2022. For the current year as well i.e. 2021, against the target of 54,500 in 2020, Quebec may only welcome a maximum of 47,100 new immigrants, which is still not confirmed.
