On June 17, 2025, North Bay unveiled its list of designated employers under the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP), allowing foreign workers with valid job offers in the Nipissing, Parry Sound, and Latchford areas to apply for permanent residence.

- Sales & Service: Best Value Inn & Suites, Burger World (Hammond), Casey’s Bar & Grill, Canada Bread, DGS Distribution
- Education, Law & Social Services: Canada Bread, Community Living North Bay, Employment North (South River), Lindsay Weld Centre, Ministry of Public & Business Service Delivery
📋 Who Is Eligible?
Candidates must:
- Hold a permanent, full-time job offer from a listed employer
- Work in a priority occupation as defined by the region
- Meet requirements for education, work experience, language skills, and settlement funds
- Obtain a community recommendation via employer application during monthly intake rounds (typically last week of each month)
After receiving a community recommendation certificate, applicants can apply through IRCC’s PR portal and may qualify for a work permit while awaiting decision.
