What is Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)?

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is aimed at fulfilling Manitoba’s labour market and economic needs. An In-demand Occupation is published regularly by the province to communicate the same. The list is based on 2016 NOC Codes.

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) streams are as follows:

Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream (SWM)

This stream specifically caters to need of Manitoba employers. Internationally trained and experienced workers with requisite skill set are selected under this stream to work and settle in Manitoba. It also selects Skilled workers in Manitoba who have strong connection to province and are making ongoing contribution to Manitoba economy.

Skilled Worker Overseas Stream (SWO)

This stream nominates those applicants who demonstrate an established connection to Manitoba through either their family, or previous education, or previous work experience or an ITA received as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

International Education Stream (IES)

This is specifically for Manitoba graduates who are graduating in Manitoba and provides them a faster pathway for nomination. It has following three pathways:

1. Career Employment Pathway
2. Graduate Internship Pathway
3. International Student Entrepreneur Pilot.

Business Investor Stream

The Business Investor Stream (BIS) is for business investors and entrepreneurs, who want to start a new or purchase an existing business in Manitoba. There are two pathways under Business Investor Stream: :

1. The Entrepreneur Pathway
2. The Farm Investor Pathway.
