Work Permit and PR Process

With a recommendation, applicants may apply for an LMIA-exempt work permit and permanent residence through IRCC. Processing times are generally faster than regular PR streams because of community involvement and job market alignment.

Intake Periods

  • July 14–18, 2025
  • August 11–15, 2025
  • August 29–September 5, 2025 (RCIP only)
  • October and November windows to be announced

Why It Matters

RCIP and FCIP programs are ideal for candidates who may not meet Express Entry cut-offs but want to settle in a growing, affordable region like Sudbury. These streams value local engagement, community retention, and skill gaps more than points-based metrics.
