Residency (PR). Several provinces have dedicated streams under their Provincial Nominee
Programs (PNPs) tailored specifically for international students who have completed their studies in
Canada.
Provinces with Open PR Pathways (as of May 2025):
- Alberta: Graduate Entrepreneur Stream, Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream
- Manitoba: Career Employment Pathway, Graduate Internship Pathway, International Student
Entrepreneur Pilot - New Brunswick: Private Career College Graduate Pilot Program
- Newfoundland and Labrador: International Graduate Category, International Graduate
Entrepreneur - Nova Scotia: International Graduates in Demand Stream, International Graduate Entrepreneur
- Ontario: Employer Job Offer (International Student), Master’s Graduate Stream, PhD Graduate
Stream - Prince Edward Island: International Graduates
- Saskatchewan: Student Sub-category under Worker with Saskatchewan Work Experience
Common Eligibility Criteria:
- Completion of post-secondary studies in the respective province
- Valid Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
- Job offer in a relevant field (varies by stream)
- Language proficiency (usually CLB 7+)
- Proof of intent to reside in the province
- Expression of Interest (EOI), if required
