What is Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream?
This stream is designed for needs of Manitoba employers. It caters to internationally trained and experienced workers as well as those skilled workers who have strong connection with Manitoba. It nominates the above applicants to receive Canadian permanent resident visas to settle and work in Manitoba. Following are are two pathways for applicants:
(a) Manitoba Work Experience Pathway
To qualify under this stream applicant must be working in Manitoba with temporary work permits.
(b) Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway
This stream is for applicants who have a job offer from an approved Manitoba employer.
What is Manitoba International Education Stream?
The International Education Stream (IES) is for International students graduating from Manitoba and having requisite skills in meeting industry needs, a faster pathways to nomination. This program has further three pathways:
(a) Career Employment Pathway
Career Employment Pathway is specifically for post-secondary students who graduate and find long-term employment in Manitoba in an in-demand occupation consistent with their training. They need to have a job offer for this pathway.
(b) Graduate Internship Pathway
The Graduate Internship Pathway is for international students who have done master or doctoral study from Manitoba, and are on internships contributing to industry innovation in Manitoba. In this program, job offer is not required.
(c)International Student Entrepreneur Pilot
The International Student Entrepreneur Pilot gives opportunity to 20 international students every year, who have graduated from Manitoba to pursue their entrepreneurship dream. Here, Business Performance Agreement conditions are to be met for PR nomination.
What is Manitoba Skilled Worker Overseas Stream?
The Manitoba Skilled Worker Overseas Stream (SWO) is for applicants who demonstrate an established connection to Manitoba through family connections, or previous work experience or education in Manitoba, or through an ITA received as of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative. There are two pathways in Manitoba Skilled Worker Overseas Stream:
(a) Manitoba Express Entry Pathway
The Manitoba Express Entry (EE) Pathway is for candidates who have skills and experience and strong family connection in Manitoba. It is for MPNP stream candidates who meet Express Entry criteria and have an active EE profile.
(b) Human Capital Pathway
The Human Capital Pathway is for international skilled worker applicants who have requisite skills, training and experience to find jobs, soon after their arrival in Manitoba.
